Bubble Trouble

 Precious goods: wrapped safe

I like the effect and reinforces my idea of hiding ones emotions, like a mask submerged in your own thoughts downing yet still able to hold your head above water. the bubbles like pockets of air, pockets of hope. Yet bubbles being very gentle and highlights that of the female and bubbles being burst, like at breaking point close to either breaking free or having enough of your emotions and bursting out.
These also remind me of bubble wrap, something precious is being held inside and that urge of self satisfaction to be lured to temptation, but without the wrap your not safe and they hold you in your own comfort blanket almost as if one does not trust themselves to be fully open and exposed in the world.
I have experimented covering up different parts of the face, like the two sides to a conflict of your inner self. Water connotations include those of tears, being submerged, drowning yet fundamental for life, and the bubbles in the water create hope that there is some air to breath.
I have also joined the burnt photography with the submergence of water to create a double meaning, being burnt, pride being hurt, something has happened and you've tried to put the flames out with water but its too late and your left scarred.
All these images could be seen as memories also.
